Flexible Online Quran Classes: How Our Schedule Works for Busy Students

Flexible online Quran class schedule for busy students

“I would love to learn the Quran, but I do not have time.” We hear this every week from students, working adults and parents. Flexibility is often promised but rarely explained. This page explains exactly how class timing works on Quranic Values: when classes run, how long they last, how to change your time, what happens during exams, and our clear policy on missed classes.

«أَحَبُّ الأعمالِ إلى اللهِ أدْوَمُها وإنْ قَلَّ»“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small.”Narrated by ʿĀʾishah. Reported by al-Bukhārī (6465) and Muslim (783); graded ṣaḥīḥ by al-Albānī in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ (163). Dorar

Short Classes, Real Progress

A class lasts up to about 25 minutes and is built around tasks: the student recites the new lesson and the revision, the teacher corrects and sets the next tasks, and the class ends when the work is done. The aim is a lot of benefit in a short time, which is exactly what a busy student needs. A short class is also easier to fit between lectures, work shifts or school homework.

Choosing a Time That Fits Your Day

After the first meeting, class times are available around the clock, so we can find a slot that suits your local time, whether that is early morning before work, a lunch break, or the evening. Our reference time is Makkah time, and we match it to your city. If you cannot attend five days, we can build the plan around fewer days. One of our students in Australia, a married university student, memorised many juz’ attending only three days a week. Read his story in Learning the Quran Online as an International Student.

Can I Change My Class Time from Week to Week?

Yes, with advance coordination. If your work or study schedule changes, simply tell us before the new week starts. For example, on Thursday a student might say: “Next week my shift is in the evening, so I need my class in the morning.” That is no problem. Advance notice lets the teacher arrange his own schedule so your class is not lost.

What Happens During Exams or Busy Periods?

We do not want you to stop. A long break is one of the biggest dangers for a memoriser, because what was memorised can be forgotten. So during exams or other heavy periods, we lighten the load instead of pausing: a smaller lesson and lighter revision, while keeping the connection with the Quran alive. When the busy period ends, the plan returns to its normal pace.

Our advice: a few lines kept up during exam week are far better than two weeks off and then starting again.

Our Policy on Missed Classes

We prefer to be clear from the start:

  • If the teacher misses a class, the class is made up for the student.
  • If the student misses a class, it is not automatically made up, because the teacher’s time is reserved for you and he may not have another free slot.
  • If the teacher does have free time and chooses to offer a make-up class, that is a kindness from him, not a guaranteed right.

This keeps the schedule fair for every student and every teacher, and it encourages the consistency that memorisation needs.

Who Will Be Teaching You?

Every teacher on Quranic Values, male and female, learned and taught in the Quran circles of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, and was trained by respected sheikhs of Madinah in how to teach and manage a circle. They are native Arabic speakers who can explain in English and Urdu. Every teacher is qualified under the sheikhs and reciters of Madinah.

Quranic Values is an independent online platform and is not officially affiliated with Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.

Questions About Timing

Which days are classes held?

Sunday to Thursday. Saturday is for free trial meetings, and Friday is a day off.

How long is each class?

Up to about 25 minutes. The class is focused on tasks and ends when the work is done.

Can I change my class time?

Yes, with advance coordination, for example letting us know on Thursday about next week’s change.

If I miss a class, will it be made up?

Classes missed by the teacher are made up. Classes missed by the student are not guaranteed a make-up, though a teacher may offer one if he has free time.

Can I pause during exams?

We recommend lightening the lesson instead of pausing, because a long break can cause forgetting.
